December 2016

Hi everyone!
We had such an eventful December! We have done a lot and I have the pictures to prove it, so it'll probably be a long post. The first week of the month, Moscow had a Christmas Tree Lighting Parade.
So we got all bundled up, drove over to get some Jimmy Johns for dinner, then walked to Main Street! The boys had a blast watching the parade and collecting candy.
Danny thought it was pretty funny to share his sucker with Brody.
Brody didn't have a problem with that!

The weeks following the parade were law school finals. Brons was so busy studying for his tests and was gone at school a lot more than usual. Danny had a fun cookie decorating play date with his friend Hudson! I've mentioned them before, but I seriously love that Danny has a little friend. Hudson's mom, Lauren and I did most the decorating while the boys ate sprinkles. Haha
Once those finals were over, it was so nice to relax for a couple days. Then we would be traveling to Utah! A couple days before we left, a little museum that is here had a day when Santa visited.
The week before, I was trying to convince Danny that Santa is so nice, gives you presents, ect.
Obviously none of that worked because Danny HATED Santa! We couldn't even get him to sit on his lap. Brody didn't mind at all. It's funny to look back on and we have a pretty funny picture!
Then it was time to pack up and go home to Utah for the holidays! We were so excited and had so much fun! I was very nervous about how the kids would do on the plane ride,
even though it was only 1 1/2 hours away. Our flight was delayed a whole hour so Brody fell asleep, and then woke up as we were boarding.
But he did so good the entire flight. He just sat on my lap, smiled and laughed the whole time!(Typical, happy Brody.)Danny has been so into planes lately, so he was in heaven. My parents picked us up from the airport and we stayed with them for the first half of the trip. That night we all just hung out and watched a Christmas movie together!
The next day we drove up to Mountain Green to go visit Bronson's side of the family. It was so fun to get the cousins together and to see everyone! Danny, Stella and Bryleigh were going crazy laughing and playing tag all night! Our niece Ruby and Brody are only 5 weeks apart, so it was fun to watch how similar they are and how they interacted!
And of course we needed a picture with all the kids, which was almost impossible to get.
But isn't this so cute?!
The days following up to Christmas were a little crazy while driving back and forth between family,
but I'm so glad we did! My parents took Danny to the Aerospace museum, while Brons, Brody and I
did some very last minute Christmas shopping! My sister Kenzie also flew into town to be there too!
Every year with the Paces, we go to Christmas Village in Ogden and go get Chinese food after.
I'm so glad we were there in time to go do that again this year!
Then it was Christmas Eve! We went to Bronson's parents' during the day, then went back to my parents' at night and decorated cookies! We got the boys in their Christmas pj's and got them to bed.
DeeAnn and I spent probably a good hour arranging all the presents and stockings in the living room,
but it looked good! The next morning we woke up and opened presents! Danny and Brody were so spoiled this year! We have enough trucks, planes and other toys for the both of them. It was fun to watch Danny get so excited over every present and Brody just want to play with the wrapping paper.
We then were able to skype my sister Kallee who is on her mission in Norway! I loved being able to talk to her and hear her speak Norwegian.(Which is a crazy language by the way.) But she is doing really well there and loves it! Once we got ready, we headed to Bronson's parents for the rest of the day! That night I started getting the flu and Brons got it right after! We were both sick for close to a week, and Danny and Brody both had pretty bad colds at the same time as well. It was definitely not enjoyable to be sick for half the trip, but the last few days we started feeling better! Once we were feeling better, Brons and I took advantage of having some babysitters around and went out on a couple dates! We went to Station Park for dinner, then to a movie one night, and then to go get our favorite sushi another day.
Bronson's parents have a big backyard with hills that is perfect for sledding! So we had to take the boys before we left. I was surprised with how much Brody loved it! He was constantly laughing and throwing his hands up in the air sledding! Danny had a lot of fun too, he almost liked sledding down the hill on his butt better though!
The last couple days before we left to go back home were great! We just tried to spend time with family as much as possible. We went to the Aerospace museum again with my dad and sister where Danny roamed the whole place pointing out every single plane. The day before we left, we met up with my parents to eat! After that, we drove to Top Golf to meet up with Bronson's family. If you haven't been to Top Golf before, you need to go! Whether you like golfing or not, it's a blast! Brons totally kicked butt too.
The next morning, we were off to the airport to come back home! It was such a fun trip
that went by way too fast.
Bronson now has started his second semester of law school, and the kids and I are settled in back at home. Here is a quick update on the boys!

Danny has been talking like crazy! He literally repeats everything we say and is starting to make up his own sentences. It's funny to hear the things he comes up with! Like I mentioned before, he is so into planes right now! He always has one in his hand that he is flying around. We are definitely in the toddler stage which is challenging at times. Tantrums happen on the regular here, but now that he is talking and communicating more, hopefully they'll start to be less often. In the past two weeks, he's been wanting to play with Brody all the time! It makes me so happy! All day long, they are playing and laughing with eachother. And the majority of the time that Brody goes down for a nap or goes to bed, Danny gets sad and will ask for him over and over again. They are eachother's best friend!
Brody is now 10 months old(in 2 days) and has changed so much lately! He started crawling a month ago, and is into everything! But it's so fun watching him roam everywhere and explore! He loves to pull himself up onto everything and walk along the furniture. I'm sure he'll be walking very soon! He has also gotten 2 teeth in the past couple weeks. He still loves food and is always so happy! He is definitely a mama's boy! I'm the one that has to be holding him most of time or he will start whining "ma ma ma". Even though it's hard to get things done, I'm taking advantage of it until he's Danny's age and jsut wants Dad!  He is becoming so active and getting such a funny personality. Brody used to be our perfect sleeper, but ever since our trip he has been the worst sleeper! He gets up almost every hour through out the night and hardly naps during the day. I'm hoping this is just a phase and that it passes soon! Cross your fingers for me, because this mama needs some sleep. I can't believe he will be 1 in just 2 months. Things really go by so much quicker with the second child.
Thanks for reading!
Love,
